Gyokuro, the pinnacle of green tea, represents the highest grade available. Its cultivation involves a unique process where the tea plants are shaded for approximately two weeks before the first harvest. This shading technique limits photosynthesis, altering the leaf composition to yield a tea with intensified flavor and reduced astringency. Gyokuro is highly esteemed and commonly served in prestigious dining establishments. For optimal enjoyment, it is recommended to brew Gyokuro at around 60°C for about two minutes.
